How To Protect Yourself From Coronavirus

How To Protect Yourself From Coronavirus

Are you talking about anything else at the moment? The world seems transfixed by this virus and the global spread is well and truly underway

What is COVID-19?

As time passes and more information becomes available, this virus has been confirmed as an RNA virus rather than a DNA virus. What does that mean? In simple terms it means that it is a more complex virus and at the very least, questionable whether it could have been derived from a bat or a snake. According to Francis Boyle, an American bioweapons expert, COVID-19 is a weaponized SARS virus that has emerged from the Biosafety Level 4 facility in Wuhan, China. We may never know the truth, but if we consider that this facility was created to specifically research SARS and Coronavirus, it seems a bit too coincidental that the virus originated there. A unique quality of this virus compared to SARS, is its ability to carry further as an airborne contagen – a distance of 6 to 7 feet increasing the spread rate. It also seems likely that it can spread via human faeces

Support Your Immune System With Nutrition: The most likely effect to those people who succumb to it are mild flu symptoms and a dry cough. Some people will experience none or very little discomfort, most will suffer typical flu symptoms for a number of days and in extreme cases (so far, almost exclusively affecting the aged), it can cause death. The following nutrients have anti-viral properties:

  1. Selenium: An essential micro-nutrient

  • Selenium is essential to the proper function of the immune system and boosts our defences and resistance to infection

  • It improves male fertility and prevents miscarriage

  • Low levels are associated with depression and other mental disorders

  • High levels help prevent cancer.

  • Deficient levels in the diet may even have played a role in the emergence of new strains of the flu virus in China and the crossing of the HIV virus from animals to man in Central Africa

It is a sad fact that Selenium is virtually non-existent in our farm soils today, and the health consequences are significant

  1. Vitamin C: Research is demonstrating that IV ascorbic acid (synthetic Vitamin C) is proving effective in treating those who contract pneumonia from Coronavirus. Ascorbic acid is given intravenously in high dose because it causes intestinal pain when taken orally. This doesn’t happen with Foodstate Vitamin C, we can take high dosages without any discomfort. How does it help?

Vitamin C is water-soluble so we don’t store it, and as such we need regular replenishment. It is a potent antioxidant which:

  • Supports the immune system

  • Improves the outcome of patients with Sepsis and Respiratory Infections

  • Supports the structure of connective tissue

  • Supports the structure of blood vessels

  • Supports the structure of healthy bones

  • Supports healthy skin

  • Supports healthy teeth and gums

  1. Zinc: Zinc can lower mortality rate in older people

  • This powerful antioxidant mineral helps to treat the common cold, flu, and helps prevent bacterial and viral diseases

  1. Beta-Glucans 1,3 and 1,6: A potent Antioxidant with significant anti-viral properties

  • Beta-Glucans are a specialised antioxidant nutrient with a unique quality to help fight viruses. Beta-Glucans 1,3 and 1,6 help activate the immune system, alerting the body to help defend itself against viral and bacterial invaders. Many healthcare Practitioners use them to help boost patients’ immunity and fight disease

  • How do they work? Flu viruses “bind complement”, which means they stop the part of the immune system that responds to fight viruses - called “complement” - from working. Beta-Glucans actively and specifically inhibit this binding effect and so ensure activation of the immune system in response to the viral invader. Infection from most viruses takes about 48 hours after the virus has entered the body, (but we are being advised that it’s a longer incubation period with the Coronavirus). If the immune system is activated it will prevent the virus from replicating, so effectively the flu symptoms will not start

  1. Vitamin D: This important mineral helps reduce pandemic mortality rates in the elderly

  • Vitamin D is important for controlling infections so it’s only logical that it reduces your risk of contracting flu and common colds

  • High-dose Vitamin D lowers the risk of respiratory illness and lung infection

The first conclusive evidence of the importance of Vitamin D was during the Spanish Flu outbreak in 2018/2019, when fatality rates increased in winter and reduced in summer

What To Do Next: In reality, all of the nutrients mentioned above are important for maintaining your health anyway, but are of particular importance right now. If you are in fear of contracting Coronavirus, start taking 1 capsule/tablet of each twice per day. If you live in an area where an outbreak occurs, you may want to increase to 4 of each per day.
