We can all agree that exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, however it is worth being aware that if you exercise regularly you may well be burning up more reserves than you are putting back in. It’s a bit like writing cheques all the time and forgetting to top up the bank balance – you eventually become overdrawn
Remember: Our farm soils are 80% deplete of essential nutrients, and as a result only 8 of the 60 minerals we need for optimum health exist in any kind of quantity in the food we eat today
If you are a regular exerciser, here are some suggestions to keep the nutritional bank topped up:
Multi-Vitamin/Mineral: A little bit of everything to counter those lacking in our soil
Magnesium: Athletes are particularly in need of Magnesium - it is important for our bones, muscles and energy levels
Iron: As with Magnesium, athletes are often iron deficient which causes tiredness and fatigue. Iron combines with protein and copper to make haemoglobin which carries oxygen in the blood from the lungs to the tissues
Multi Antioxidant with C0-Q10: During strenuous exercise we purge toxins from the muscles in to the bloodstream, and it is important to mop these up with antioxidants to prevent toxic build up which is harmful to our health. One of the antioxidants is Vitamin C which is very helpful for connective tissue and helps us heal more quickly
